Combine Excel files without copy and paste
This spreadsheet merger combines monthly reports, survey exports, order lists or contact lists into one file in seconds. Choose All rows in one sheet to stack everything into a single table. Columns are matched by their headings, so it works even if the files have columns in a different order or some extra columns. Or choose One sheet per file to collect several files into one workbook.
How to merge spreadsheets
- Drop all the files onto the box. You can mix Excel and CSV.
- Choose All rows in one sheet or One sheet per file.
- For one sheet: keep First row is headings ticked so columns line up by name. Tick Add a column with the file name to see where each row came from.
- Check the preview, choose Excel or CSV, and click Merge and download.
Questions
What if the files have different columns?
Every heading that appears in any file becomes a column. Rows from files without that column are left blank there.
Are formulas and formatting kept?
Values are kept exactly as shown; formulas become their results and cell colors aren't copied.
