Convert Excel to CSV online

CSV (comma-separated values) is the simplest spreadsheet format, and almost every app can import it: email tools, online shops, accounting software, databases and Google Sheets. This Excel to CSV converter turns XLSX, XLS and ODS files into CSV. It converts every sheet in a workbook at once, which Excel itself can't do, and saves them together in a ZIP.

Files are saved as UTF-8, so names with accents, Hindi, Chinese or emoji stay intact. Choose a semicolon separator if the CSV is for European versions of Excel.

Are formulas kept?

CSV holds values only, so each formula is replaced by its result, exactly as you see it in Excel.

How are dates saved?

Dates are written as year-month-day (2026-10-30), which every program reads correctly.

Why does my CSV look wrong when opened in Excel?

Some versions of Excel expect semicolons. Choose “Semicolon” as the separator and convert again.
