Add text to photos in seconds
This free add text to image tool puts words on any picture: a caption for social media, an inspirational quote, bold meme text with a black outline, or a see-through watermark repeated across the photo to protect it. Pick from stylish fonts, change the color, add an outline, shadow or background, and drag the text exactly where you want it.
How to put text on a picture
- Drop a photo onto the box (or click to choose, or paste). A text box appears in the middle.
- Type your words in the Text box. Press Enter for a new line.
- Choose a font and size. For meme style, choose Anton, white text and a black outline, and tick ALL CAPS.
- Drag the text on the picture to move it. Click + Text to add another one; click any text to edit it.
- For a watermark, click + Watermark: it's see-through and repeats across the whole picture so it can't be cropped out.
- Pick JPG, PNG or WebP, then click Download picture. It's saved at the photo's full size.
Questions
Is the picture saved at full quality?
Yes. The preview is scaled to fit your screen, but the download uses the original size of your photo.
How do I watermark many photos?
Add the watermark to one photo and download it, then click “Use another picture”: your text and style stay, so the next photo only takes a click.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
