Resize any video for social media
Each platform wants a different shape: 9:16 for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, 4:5 or 1:1 for Instagram and Facebook feed posts, and 16:9 for YouTube. This video resizer reshapes a video without stretching it. A landscape video in a vertical Reel gets a stylish blurred background made from the video itself, or plain bars, or you can crop in to fill the frame.
How to resize a video
- Drop your video onto the box. A preview of the first frame shows the result.
- Choose the shape for where you're posting.
- Choose how to fill the empty space: Blurred background (most popular), black or white bars, or Crop to fill (no bars, but the edges are cut).
- Use Zoom to make the video bigger inside the frame.
- Click Resize and download. Sound is kept.
Questions
What size is a Reel or TikTok?
1080 × 1920 pixels (9:16). Instagram feed posts look best at 1080 × 1350 (4:5).
Will the quality drop?
The video is re-encoded at a high bitrate for its new size, so it stays sharp; platforms compress it again anyway when you upload.
